TunIstra – Big Game Fishing
11. - 13.9.2026.The eighth edition of the TunIstra – Big Game Fishing competition was held this September in the waters off Poreč, where 39 crews from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Austria, Germany, and Namibia competed to catch the largest tuna in the northern Adriatic.
September once again proved to be the perfect time for this type of fishing, as the migration routes of the Atlantic bluefin tuna passed along the western coast of Istria, bringing impressive specimens into the waters near Poreč. Click here to discover who landed the biggest tuna this year!

11. - 13.9.2026.Various culinary corners offered street food delicacies that highlighted the sea and the star of the Adriatic Sea, the tuna. Domestic visitors and foreign guests not only indulged in tasty food but also enjoyed the specially decorated Tunalicious riva and a rich entertainment program.

10.9.2026.The highlight of the gastronomic programme was the Spinnaker Gourmet Stage, a series of exclusive gourmet dinners held at Valamar’s Spinnaker restaurant. This year's tuna-themed edition was led by Chef Marko Turković, one of the most prominent representatives of Croatia’s new generation of culinary professionals, while the pairing of the courses with premium wines was expertly curated by Saints Hills Winery.
