TunIstra, the international big game fishing tournament, will be held in Poreč from September 14 to 15. During 2 fishing days, more than 30 competing boats will have the opportunity to test their limits and compete in the art of hunting big tuna.
The program starts on Saturday, September 14 with the registration and presentation of competing teams, and skippers meeting. Both fishing days (September 14 - 15) start with distribution of bait at 6:00 am and the departure of boats from Poreč harbor at 7:00 am. Fishing ends on the first day at 5:00 pm and last day at 4:00 pm.
A catch-quota of a minimum of 2005 kilograms of bluefin tuna has been approved for this tournament, so the biggest tuna caught will be weighed and scored every evening on the Poreč waterfront, which gives visitors the opportunity to see them live. Other specimens of tuna and other fish will be released back into the sea according to the "catch & release" principle.
Competitors can enjoy the entertainment and gastronomic program on the Poreč waterfront every evening, while the tournament winner announcement is scheduled for Saturday evening.

TunIstra, il torneo internazionale di pesca sportiva d'altura, si terrà a Poreč dall' 14 al 15 settembre. Durate 2 giorni di pesca, ben 30 imbarcazioni in gara avranno l'opportunità di mettere alla prova i propri limiti e competere nell'arte della caccia al grande tonno.
Il programma inizia sabato 14 settembre con la registrazione e la presentazione delle squadre in gara e la riunione degli skipper. Ciascuno dei due giorni di pesca (14-15 settembre) inizia con la distribuzione delle esche alle 6:00 del mattino e la partenza delle barche dal porto di Parenzo alle 7:00 del mattino. La pesca termina nel primo giorno alle 17:00, mentre l'ultimo giorno termina alle 16:00.
Per questo torneo è stata approvata una quota di cattura minima di 2005 chilogrammi di tonno rosso, quindi il tonno più grande catturato sarà pesato e valutato ogni sera sul lungomare di Parenzo, offrendo ai visitatori l'opportunità di vederli dal vivo. Altri esemplari di tonno e altri pesci saranno rilasciati in mare secondo il principio del "catch & release".
I gareggianti possono godere del programma d’intrattenimento e gastronomico sul lungomare di Parenzo ogni sera, mentre l'annuncio del vincitore del torneo è previsto per la serata di sabato.
